Renewal of Hope Centre’s IPC status (2022-2025)

Hope Centre (Singapore) is pleased to announce that our status as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) has been approved, from 23 September 2022 to 22 March 2025.

An IPC is an organisation approved by the Commissioner of Charities to receive tax-deductible donations. This means donors are given tax benefits for donations made to these organizations.

The following measures to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism were announced as part of Singapore’s Budget in 2021 (date 16 February 2021):

Extension of 250% tax deduction for donations to IPCs
To continue to encourage giving, the Government will extend the 250% tax deduction for qualifying donations made to IPCs and other qualifying recipients for another two years, i.e. for donations made during the period 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023 (both dates inclusive).

Extension of Business and IPC Partnership Scheme (BIPS)
To continue supporting corporate volunteerism, the Government will also extend BIPS for qualifying expenditure incurred for services or corporate volunteering for another two years, up to 31 December 2023.

Hope Centre (Singapore) is proud to have been approved as an IPC and continues to offer our donors tax benefits for qualifying donations (for sums of SGD 10 and above).

Hope Centre (Singapore) continues to serve children, youths and seniors in the Jalan Besar area as well as in other areas such as Chinatown and Bedok via our Bread with Love and Bursary with Love programs.

We are excited for this continued opportunity to partner our donors and corporate partners to serve and make a positive impact in the community!
