Dinner with Love 2019
Hope Centre (Singapore)’s Dinner with Love, is back for its second run! We want to celebrate hope, inclusiveness & intergeneration this year as we journey through the year ahead. We are also proud to be one of the first few organisations in Singapore to pioneer an Intergenerational Programme. Come join us for a night filled with exciting performances by our beneficiaries, hear heartwarming stories of life transformation, and celebrate Hope Centre’s milestones together!

In 2019, Hope Centre is proud to be one of the first few organisations to pioneer an Intergenerational Programme. This is where children and youths take part in activities with senior citizens from our drop-in programmes – bridging the gap between the two generations.
With approximately 10% of the population in Jalan Besar being below the age of 19, we saw the need to engage these youths, who may face a myriad of challenges in life, to be mentored and empowered to become productive and responsible young adults in the future. Also, many seniors are often left alone at home and some being practically immobile, it leaves them vulnerable to the devastating effects of seniors isolation. Through our centre, we will engage these seniors and empower them to serve their community, giving them a sense of purpose in life. We also hope to bridge the gap between these two generations through inter-generational programmes that promotes the imparting of wisdom and skills from and to both generations!
As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Your contributions helped support the various programmes which impacted the lives more than 4,400 youths and seniors. Through Dinner with Love, we hope to raise $200,000 to support the various programmes managed by Hope Centre.
Your giving is paramount in impacting the lives of our youths and seniors.
